Vorboss is building London's next-generation business fibre network. This is a responsibility that we take seriously; we understand that for most businesses, reliable fibre internet is as important as heat, electricity, and water. Role Overview
Vorboss is looking for a Network Engineer to help manage the connectivity and infrastructure in our network. This includes helping to commission, maintain and upgrade our network infrastructure, and manage the change when required. You will identify and assess customers' needs, to achieve, and exceed, customer satisfaction. You will build sustainable relationships and trust with customers through open and interactive communication and handle all customer queries, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the expected time frame.
Key Responsibilities
- To commission, maintain and upgrade our Network Infrastructure.
- To manage change to the Network Infrastructure when required.
- To be responsible for operational systems and intervene where and when required.
- To maintain correct and detailed documentation for the Network Infrastructure.
- To help adapt and develop technical procedures and Knowledge Base.
- To assist other Network Engineers in resolving incidents, requests, and changes in a timely manner, including escalations.
- To be available to work on the Network Infrastructure outside of usual business hours, both planned and unplanned.
- To be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing both within the technical team, the wider organisation and to customers.
The Right Candidate
- At least 2 years' experience working with a service desk within an SME / ISP / MSP environment.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostics and network analytics tools.
- Current working knowledge of routing, switching & wireless technologies.
- Good understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model, MPLS/VPLS management and deployment.
- Experience with configuring and maintaining Juniper routers in a service provider environment, and specifically with RSVP based MPLS networks, VPLS, BGP route reflector, and dual-stack environments.
- Good experience in and strong knowledge of a range of network and network security platforms including BGP, Juniper or Cisco ISP & enterprise routing & switching, Juniper or Cisco Security appliances and Ruckus & Unifi WAP.
- Desire to learn new technologies, develop advanced networking skills and share them across the team.
- Excellent time management and organisation.

- Certifications: CCNA, JNCIA-Junos, Fortinet NSE 1 and 2, SolarWinds Certified Professional.
- Degree educated or equivalent work experience.
- ITIL Foundation.
- Knowledge of CRM/ERP systems like Oracle/Salesforce.
