Team: Our Gaming team is made up of hybrid-casual, casual, and mid-core experts. Our 'Core' games team supports internal and external studios worldwide in creating, developing, and launching new hit games, whilst our 'Live' games team focuses on delivering higher engagement on our existing and successful games. Role: We are seeking an experienced Game Designer focusing on core gameplay mechanics with mandatory professional experience working on high-action, fast-paced genres (Action, Shooters, or Racing), who is deeply passionate about mobile games and wants to create the next big hit. With extensive experience in the industry, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering fun to millions of players. As the driving force behind the game's success, you'll ensure the game reaches the highest standards of quality and innovation.
You Will:
- Take absolute ownership of the core gameplay experience, obsessing over the moment-to-moment interactions, pacing, and the fundamental "fun" factor of the game.
- Craft and iterate intensely on core action loops (e.g., combat, shooting, or driving mechanics), focusing heavily on timing, collision, and player feedback.
- Tackle the most complex gameplay engineering challenges.
- Drive technical prototyping for bold new core mechanics, finding the right game feel before scaling up.
- Pitch and implement big features to the team, deconstructing them into smaller components.
- Own core game mechanic balancing.
- Always back up your ideas with available data points.
- Be able to deconstruct and analyze mobile games mechanics.
Profile:
- At least 5+ years as a Game Designer, level design background is a massive plus.
- Experience working on mobile games.
- Accountability, independence, and responsibility when given ownership over your work.
- Good sense of game feel, pacing with strong attention to detail.
- Communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Passionate to learn new ways to perform your tasks in a more efficient way, and to improve yourself every day.
