The Role
Vision for Education is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate individuals who are keen to begin a rewarding career in education as a Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience working across a wide range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools, supporting children and young people with diverse learning needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges, and physical disabilities.

You don't need prior classroom experience—just a genuine passion for making a difference, patience, and a willingness to learn.

Full training and ongoing professional development will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with a range of additional needs in their learning and personal development.
  • Work alongside teachers and experienced support staff to create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support, adapting activities to suit individual abilities.
  • Encourage independence and help pupils build confidence and life skills.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.

Requirements

  • A passion for working with children and young people.
  • A patient, caring, and flexible approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to learning and professional development.
  • A DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
