Project Overview

Southernwood in Harlow Green is Tyne Housing Association’s new, exemplar housing scheme for vulnerable young people aged 18-25. Developed in conjunction with Gateshead Council and Homes England, the scheme is designed to put into practice everything that Tyne has learnt over the course of over 50 years of working with some of the most excluded and marginalised people in our region. Southernwood will provide excellent, state of the art self-contained accommodation, together with tailored support for single people who have experienced, or are at risk of experiencing, homelessness.

Responsibilities

Our Project Workers will work with our Support Workers, and the residents themselves, to ensure that the building remains safe, secure and in the best possible condition. They will assist in the provision of an excellent Housing Management service, as well as helping to facilitate events and activities that boost resident participation and involvement.

Requirements

The postholder must complete an enhanced DBS check. All staff are employed subject to the satisfactory completion of six months’ probationary period.
