Associate Counsellors – Join North East Counselling Services
North East Counselling Services is a non-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) with almost 20 years’ experience delivering counselling services across the North East. We work with adults, children and young people, and couples, and are looking to expand our workforce across all service areas. Our team includes both employed and associate counsellors, and we value collaboration, professionalism, and high‑quality clinical practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver individual counselling sessions to adults, children, young people, and couples.
- Invoice North East Counselling Services monthly for work undertaken and manage your own tax, National Insurance and professional indemnity insurance.
- Contribute to supervision costs where applicable and participate in regular CPD sessions.
Qualifications
- Minimum Level 5 Diploma standard and registration with a recognised professional body (e.g., BACP or UKCP).
- Experience working with adults, children, young people, and/or couples.
- Availability to see a minimum of four clients per week and the ability to work from our office spaces in Blaydon or Felling.
Remuneration
Self‑employed associates are paid £20 per appointment and are paid on a fixed salary basis. Associates invoice monthly and are responsible for their own tax and National Insurance.
