Role description: Help Women Rebuild Their Lives, Regain Their Confidence and Create a Brighter Future. At Emmaus North East, we believe everyone deserves a safe home, a supportive community and the opportunity to thrive. As a Female Project Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping women overcome homelessness, trauma and social exclusion, empowering them to achieve lasting independence.
Responsibilities: The Female Project Support Worker will support women who have experienced homelessness, social exclusion, domestic abuse, trauma, addiction, and other complex challenges to rebuild their lives and move towards greater independence. Working within Emmaus North East’s women-only accommodation service, the postholder will provide structured, person-centred support that empowers female companions to develop confidence, improve wellbeing, access training and employment opportunities, and successfully move on to independent living. This role will combine practical support, advocacy, safeguarding, partnership working and community engagement within a trauma-informed environment.
