Vonkebles is small family run dog training business who are looking to expand our team. We training dogs for the police, security and pet homes. We are seeking a hardworking and passionate Kennel Assistant to look after our working dogs. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for dogs and a commitment to providing exceptional care. This role involves working closely with various breeds, ensuring their well-being, and assisting with daily operations in a busy kennel environment.

Full Job Descripition

• Provide daily care for dogs, including feeding, cleaning and exercising.
• Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Assist in administering medications as directed by manager.
• Support the team in heavy lifting tasks, such as moving large bags of food or bedding materials.
• Participate in training sessions and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
• Part-time and full time hours available.
• All candidates will be fully trained.
• Immediate start available to the right applicates.

Experience and Skills

• Animal Management qualification is desired.
• We working with ALL breeds and temperaments which includes affectionate, anxious and reactive dogs. Confidence and experience with dogs is very important
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff members.
• Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and engage in activities that require stamina.
• A genuine passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
• Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required.
• Candidates must have own transport due to rural location.
