The role of the Field Sales Representative within the Customer & Commercial Team is to be the initial ‘face’ of Voneus, representing our brand in your area and introducing our products and services to potential customers located in rural communities, and helping build and support our customer base.
Reporting to the Head of Field Sales, you will be responsible for coordinating sales activities in your specific area to convert prospects into successful customers through a variety of sales methods, focusing mainly on door to door sales.
Build relationships with key personnel, residents, and businesses within the community.
Support the sales funnel by gathering quality prospect data to convert to customers.
Support the marketing team by obtaining information regarding local and county activities as well as monitoring any competitor activity.
Weekend and evening work is essential as part of this role to be able to gain traction with different demographics at different times of the day.
Monitor sales targets and work to meet them individually and as a team.
Be self-motivated to hit the agreed sales targets.
Understand the sales cycle and the pros and cons of different sales techniques in line with Voneus company values.
Liaise with other departments including Sales, Marketing, People Team and Finance to deliver the best deals and service to the customer or prospective customer.
Previous experience of door-to-door sales is essential.
Proven track record in a field sales business to consumer environment.
Knowledge of sales techniques within the sales cycle and how to mitigate and overcome pushbacks.
Knowledgeable in using a CRM, such as Salesforce or Zoho.
