Why this role matters

This is the engineering leadership role that shapes what Network Powered Solutions becomes - not just what it delivers. As the engineering function grows, the person in this seat will define the architecture, build the platform, and drive the innovation strategy that turns network data into intelligent, production-ready capabilities. Working closely with Product, Commercial, and the GM, this leader will translate thought leadership into real engineering outcomes - including how NwPS solutions for agentic AI, digital identity, and emerging network API categories become a reality. This is not a delivery management role. It is a strategic engineering leadership position with full accountability for engineering vision, execution, and growth.

Your key responsibilities

  • Engineering vision & strategic leadership
    • Define the engineering vision and long-term technical roadmap for NwPS, aligning investment and priorities with product strategy and commercial OKRs - shaping direction, not just delivering against it.
    • Represent engineering on the SA NwPS leadership team alongside Product, Solution Sales, and Strategic BD - bringing a technical perspective to portfolio priorities and growth decisions.
    • Partner with the CTO, Architecture, and SA CPaaS Engineering to shape shared platform standards and practices.
  • Architecture & technical strategy
    • Define the architectural direction for NwPS engineering, with end-to-end accountability and direct leadership of the Architecture function.
    • Establish architectural standards, technical design governance, and domain architecture that support the evolution and scale of all NwPS products.
    • Lead technical decision-making on platform design, CSP integration patterns, and engineering standards - balancing long-term platform needs with product delivery priorities.
  • Data, AI & platform innovation
    • Shape and execute the agentic AI and data platform engineering strategy - turning the NwPS data estate into intelligent, context-aware product capabilities.
    • Set the technical direction for AI-based analytic and insight platforms, guiding the evolution from raw network data to production-ready intelligent services.
    • Partner with Product to identify and validate new product opportunities - using proof-of-concepts to test ideas and guide investment, then progressing promising capabilities to full production readiness.
  • Platform delivery & operational excellence
    • Translate engineering strategy into end-to-end delivery across all NwPS products - aligning execution with strategic priorities and setting the bar for quality, cycle time, and operational excellence.
    • Own QA/SDET capability and SRE practices to ensure platform reliability at scale.
    • Support DevRel engineering in service of the NwPS developer ecosystem.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience leading engineering organisations in SaaS, data platform, or AI/ML product businesses at scale - VP or Senior Director level.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native engineering and AWS in a product environment.
  • Track record building or leading agentic AI or AI-based analytics platforms, with a strong understanding of data-driven product architecture.
  • Demonstrated ability to scale and lead distributed, multi-squad engineering teams - experience growing teams significantly and managing through structural change.
  • Ability to operate as both a strategic thought leader and a credible technical authority - someone who sets vision and can engage meaningfully with architects and engineers.
  • Startup or scale-up experience: comfortable with ambiguity, willing to take calculated risks, and able to move fast with a can-do mindset.
  • Strong collaborative instincts - able to partner effectively with Product, Commercial, and executive stakeholders across EMEA and APAC time zones.

Experience we consider a plus:

  • Familiarity with telco/network API standards (CAMARA, GSMA) or CSP integration patterns.
  • Experience with developer-facing API products or platforms.
  • Background in identity, authentication, or network-based security products.
  • Exposure to FinTech, Healthcare, or Transportation verticals as end-customer segments.
