Finance Mission: We are a critical player in contributing to both short-term and long-term business decisions. We oversee and provide timely and accurate financial information across the organization, to leaders, decision-makers and external stakeholders. We protect company assets, both real and intangible, and ensure financial compliance with country, state and local laws. We serve as an indispensable business partner on topics requiring economic, financial and fiduciary inputs and expertise.

Why this role matters: Revenue assurance helps Vonage ensure the accuracy and completeness of our revenue reporting, together with correct taxation charges to our customers. This is achieved by undertaking a series of reconciliations at various stages in the order to revenue cycle. These reconciliations form a large part of our control environment, ensuring the data used for management decisions is accurate, as is the financial information reported by the business and provides protection against revenue leakage. These controls also ensure the invoices being raised to our customers accurately reflect their contract. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious, talented individual focused on leading a small team to manage and maintain our current revenue assurance environment as well as updating the processes as necessary to keep pace with our ever changing and expanding business. This role can be based in either our head office in Holmdel NJ, London or Basingstoke and is a hybrid schedule.

What you will do:

  • Leadership: Lead a team of two to prepare reconciliations across a wide range of order to revenue processes and analyse and take corrective action on the exceptions. Providing a read out to the accounting team on the monthly results, KPI’s and updates on issues arising and remediation implemented.
  • System/Process Improvement: Analyze issues and trends and make recommendations for the resolution of system and process deficiencies. Collaborate to derive new processes to accommodate business expansion. Support maintenance of BI reporting.
  • Audit: Provide accurate and timely reconciliation information to support internal and external audits. Validating transactions to ensure compliance with policy and procedure.
  • Customer: Ensure customers billing is accurate and in line with their contract, including pricing. Supporting customer price lists and accurate billing quantities.

What you will bring:

  • Extensive knowledge about revenue assurance processes, procedures, tools and methodologies.
  • Knowledge and understanding of business controls and SOX.
  • Proficient in database management, data analysis, and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Tableau, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Strong planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state and local accounting and reporting laws and regulations.
  • Understanding of global sales tax rates, application and regulation.
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to liaise both across skill levels and business functions.
  • Tenacious, self-motivated and able to work independently, whilst also being a team player.

What is required for application:

  • Prior experience in revenue assurance.
  • Prior experience in a managerial role.
  • Good level of financial acumen.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, data analytics or related discipline.

Preferred:

  • Experience of Zuora Oracle Fusion knowledge.
  • Prior experience in the telecommunications and technology industry.
