Why this role matters: The VP, Total Rewards and HR Operations provides executive oversight for both the operational engine of HR and the total rewards strategy that attracts, retains, and motivates talent. This highly visible leadership role ensures Vonage maintains a strong operational foundation, integrated HR technology systems, and competitive compensation and benefits programs as we scale and deepen our integration with Ericsson. Your key responsibilities:

  • Provide executive leadership across the full HR Operations portfolio, including Compliance & Process, Employee Lifecycle, and Total Rewards, while setting the strategic direction for global service delivery.
  • Develop and execute total rewards philosophy and strategy aligned with business objectives and market competitiveness, including annual compensation cycles (salary review, merit, bonus, equity grants, and Key Contributor Awards).
  • Ensure pay equity and compliance with pay transparency requirements (US state laws and EU Pay Transparency Directive), and partner with HR Business Partners on compensation cycles, promotions, and total rewards communication.
  • Own the strategy and governance for all global employee lifecycle processes — onboarding, offboarding, probation, background checks, and employment documentation — driving standardisation and local adaptation.
  • Lead HR systems integration, optimisation, and modernisation, including integration with Ericsson's technology stack (SuccessFactors, Degreed), and drive adoption of self-service tools among employees and managers.
  • Drive global standardisation, audit integrity, and remediation across all compliance areas, ensuring adherence to country-specific labour laws, data management standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Own and continuously improve Vonage's tiered HR service delivery model, clarifying escalation pathways, knowledge management, and channel strategy.
  • Lead and develop a global team across regions, fostering a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners, Finance, Legal, IT, and Ericsson Global People Services teams to ensure cross-functional alignment and integration.

What you'll bring:

  • Extensive experience in global HR operations, people services leadership, or total rewards leadership.
  • Deep understanding of compensation philosophy, benefits administration, job architecture, and pay equity principles.
  • Strong knowledge of global compliance, employee lifecycle processes, and service delivery models.
  • Proven experience with HR systems implementations and technology transformations (SuccessFactors, Workday, or similar enterprise platforms preferred).
  • Strong analytical capabilities including data analysis, key performance indicator definition, business case development, and return on investment modelling.
  • Experience integrating HR processes and systems in shared services or post-acquisition environments.
  • Experience leading multi-country HR operations or shared services teams at scale.

Experience we consider a plus:

  • Master's degree or HR certification (SHRM, HRCI, or equivalent).
  • Hands-on experience with SuccessFactors, Degreed, and Ericsson GPSM.
  • Expertise in AI-powered workforce analytics tools (e.g., Visier, Workday Analytics).
  • Sales compensation experience.
