Renault Trucks Felixstowe is looking for an experienced Workshop Controller to manage the workshop. You will therefore be experienced in supervising colleagues along with the control of work going through the workshop and a Retail Dealership workshop background is desirable.
Offering a basic up to £50,000 (DOE) with a 10% KPI driven bonus, 7% matched pension scheme, 25 days holiday plus BHs, a Healthcare Cashback scheme and lots of offers via our Works perks scheme.
Hours: Monday to Friday 42.5 hours - 08.00-17.00
As the most senior colleague below the Dealerpoint Manager, the Workshop Controller's core role is to proactively manage the customers’ journey from planning, arrival, quality of work through to Invoice / Claim closure. You will ensure that service and repair work is completed to time and quality standards and all invoice / claim documents are complete and accurate. Managing customer expectations, job profitability and workshop productivity targets will be a daily focus to ensure that workshop profitability is optimised. The motivation, personal development and performance management of the team is a key part of the role along with dealing with employee issues on a day to day basis.
Skills and Experience
- HGV workshop experience at supervisor or above level
- Employee (Technician) management / supervisory skills and experience
- Identifying employee ongoing training needs
- Reporting workshop KPI's
- Budgeting and planning of workshop productivity / efficiency
- Customer facing experience with the ability to problem solve
- Working with the CSR to ensure open lines of communication
- Ideally a level 3 HGV Technician qualification
