Join to apply for the HGV Technician – Glasgow West role at Volvo Trucks.
As part of our team at Volvo you will work a 40.5 hour per week, up to £20 per hour with overtime and quarterly bonus and fantastic earning potential. Shift pattern is on a rotational basis.
Shift Pattern
Week 1: Monday – Wednesday 07:00 – 19:00; Thursday 07:00 – 13:00.
Week 2: Wednesday – Friday 07:00 – 19:00; Saturday 07:00 – 13:00.
Who are you?
Do you hold a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and have previous experience working on HGVs, or have you completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry?
The Role – responsibilities
- Carry out repairs to a high standard according to Volvo procedures, safely and responsibly
- Assist in the fault diagnosis process
- Service customer vehicles and complete service sheets
- Road test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV license)
- Assist with roadside breakdowns
- Process all relevant paperwork relating to jobs accurately
- Ensure all vehicle defects are reported
- Keep all workshop facilities, equipment, and tools clean, tidy and well-maintained
- Help in supporting the development of trainees and apprentices
