Location: Warwick, hybrid working with 60% office attendance and occasional UK travel

We are looking for a Technical Trainer & Development Specialist to take a leading role in advancing competence development across our Industrial business unit in the UK and Ireland. You will ensure our Business Partners are developed to the highest standards through structured follow‑up, reporting, and strategic development planning.

Qualifications

  • Engineering or Electrical diploma/degree qualifications, or equivalent Industrial experience
  • IMI Level 3 or 4 HD Electric Vehicle qualification, or equivalent (preferred)
  • Experience working within an industrial environment
  • Strong knowledge of modern engines and control systems, fault‑finding techniques
  • Experience with electrical systems, CAN systems, fuel systems, EATS, diagnostics, EV/BESS, and ICE technologies
  • Experience developing training solutions, identifying competence gaps, and creating effective development plans and materials
  • Confident in communicating technical information to a broad range of audiences, adapting approach to deliver clear, engaging, effective learning experiences
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and digital learning systems

Responsibilities

  • Own end‑to‑end responsibility for competence development within the Industrial business unit in the UK & Ireland
  • Collaborate with Service Engineer and Application Engineer to shape, lead, and deliver development initiatives, identify capability gaps, and design effective learning solutions that drive lasting impact
  • Monitor capability levels, identify development needs, and create training plans aligned with business priorities and new product launches
  • Deliver engaging technical training across service, applications, commercial, and systems topics
  • Manage training activities, including scheduling, records, reporting, and digital competence tools
  • Support technical teams through train‑the‑trainer activities, collaboration, and central training events
  • Maintain high‑quality training facilities, equipment, and materials in line with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards
