Who are you?
A technically credible sales professional with experience in customer-facing environments and a strong understanding of marine leisure and commercial applications. You are highly motivated, a strong team player and someone who builds trust quickly while staying focused on delivering results.
- Degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture or Business
- Experience in a sales or key account role within a technical or marine-related environment
- Strong understanding of marine leisure and commercial applications
- Highly motivated with a strong drive to achieve and exceed targets
- Natural team player who collaborates effectively across internal and external stakeholders
- Strong relationship builder with the ability to gain trust and influence decision makers
- Confident negotiator with good judgement and timing in complex situations
What You Will Be Doing And Your New Colleagues
In this role, the focus sits at the intersection of technical engineering and commercial delivery. Close collaboration with OEMs, boat builders and dealers supports the development of opportunities, influences vessel design decisions and ensures Volvo Penta solutions are selected and successfully integrated from early concept through to delivery, acting as a trusted partner combining technical credibility with commercial impact.
- Managing key OEM and dealer relationships across commercial and technical areas
- Developing new and existing opportunities from early enquiry through specification, quotation and delivery
- Influencing vessel design decisions to ensure optimal integration of Volvo Penta systems
- Representing Volvo Penta at industry events, exhibitions and customer meetings
- Driving sales growth in line with business targets and commercial plans
- Working closely with application engineers and technical specialists on system integration
- Supporting vessel trials, commissioning and performance validation activities
- Negotiating commercial agreements with senior stakeholders
You will report directly to the Director Marine Sales and work closely with Technical Sales and Application Engineers, the Area Sales Manager, the wider Volvo Penta Sales Support team. You will also work with global colleagues in Gothenburg, ensuring a joined-up approach to customer and OEM support.
