We are seeking skilled and ambitious HGV Technicians to join Volvo Truck & Bus. Responsibilities
- Carry out service, maintenance, and repair work on Volvo HGVs to the highest standards.
- Diagnose and rectify vehicle faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
- Perform safety inspections, MOT preparations, and routine maintenance.
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and in line with manufacturer standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified HGV Technician (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Experience working with HGVs or commercial vehicles.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- A team player with a proactive attitude.
- Valid UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential).
Compensation and Benefits
- Up to £20 per hour + overtime at time and a half.
- £1000 signing bonus (direct applicants only payable after 6 months service).
- Working a rotating shift: Monday to Friday 0600–1400 or 1400–2200; Alternative Saturday at time and a half.
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays (rising to 30 days with service) or as applicable.
- Overtime at time and a half (Mon–Sat); double time on Sundays/bank holidays.
