We are seeking skilled and ambitious HGV Technicians to join Volvo Truck & Bus. Responsibilities

  • Carry out service, maintenance, and repair work on Volvo HGVs to the highest standards.
  • Diagnose and rectify vehicle faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
  • Perform safety inspections, MOT preparations, and routine maintenance.
  • Ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and in line with manufacturer standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organised working environment.

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified HGV Technician (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Experience working with HGVs or commercial vehicles.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • A team player with a proactive attitude.
  • Valid UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential).

Compensation and Benefits

  • Up to £20 per hour + overtime at time and a half.
  • £1000 signing bonus (direct applicants only payable after 6 months service).
  • Working a rotating shift: Monday to Friday 0600–1400 or 1400–2200; Alternative Saturday at time and a half.
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays (rising to 30 days with service) or as applicable.
  • Overtime at time and a half (Mon–Sat); double time on Sundays/bank holidays.
