0800hrs to 1600hrs (with some flexibility)
Volvo Trucks is looking for a Service Driver/Yardman to join our dedicated team and help ensure the seamless flow of vehicles and operations
You will be responsible for carrying out driving duties for both collection and delivery of vehicles including a full range of HGV/PSV, presenting vehicles at local ATF lane for MOT, supporting the workshop in general housekeeping and covering yard duties.
What we are looking for
- Role requires you to hold a LGV Class 1 driving licence
- Previous experience in a similar yard or workshop support role
- Good understanding of vehicle handling and safety protocols
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
What will you do
- To carry out driving duties as instructed by the Service Controller, to include presentation of vehicles for MOT including a full range of HGV including loaded trailers, LGV, PSV and both customer owned, service and sales vehicles requiring collection and delivery, road test following repair.
- To ensure the service department, workshop facilities and yard areas are kept clean and tidy to the audit standards required, and other areas as and when instructed.
