We require 4 technicians for a new VMU workshop based in Maidstone which will come under the Renault Trucks dealership in Faversham, Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Level 3 qualified HGV Technician to join our thriving business.

Main Duties:

  • Shifts: 40 hour week
  • Pay is c £21 per hour
  • Day shift of 07.00 to 16.00 Monday to Friday with rotating Saturdays paid at time and a half

Responsibilities summary:

  • Ensure your work is carried out as efficiently as possible and you are following the Service Process Maps
  • Ensure you are fully briefed on job requirements and budgets per up-front job specifications
  • Provide diagnostic outcomes and accurately specify repair solutions
  • Ensure time recording procedures are complied with including correct use of codes as per productivity policy

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Significant experience of working as a HGV Technician within the Commercial vehicle industry
  • Good knowledge of VOSA requirements and MOT testers manual
  • The application of Standard Times
  • An appreciation of our customers, the environment in which they operate and the direct impact we can have on their business
  • Technical product knowledge

Required Competences:

  • City and Guilds, NVQ 3 or equivalent in Commercial Vehicle Technology HGV / LCV
  • To be able to work in an organised & methodical manner ensuring that all daily tasks are completed
  • To be able to modify your approach in specific circumstances to ensure a positive outcome
  • To be able to understand & analyse technical issues & propose appropriate solutions
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
