Responsibilities

  • Carry out service, maintenance, and repair work on Volvo HGVs to the highest standards.
  • Diagnose and rectify vehicle faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
  • Perform safety inspections, MOT preparations, and routine maintenance.
  • Ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and in line with manufacturer standards.
  • Wear personal protective equipment when appropriate.
  • Support the development of young trainees and apprentices.

Qualifications

  • Do you hold a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance?
  • Have you worked on HGVs before or completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry?

Compensation & Benefits

  • £3,000 joining bonus (net payment on first pay check and after 6 month probation for direct applicants).
  • Salary up to £26 per hour depending on skill set & experience.
  • Rotating shift (Monday – Friday 0600–1430hrs / 1430–2300hrs, 40 hrs per week paid) with other shifts available; overtime Saturday & Sunday (double time Sunday).
  • 32 days holiday including bank holidays (increases to 37 with service).
