Salary: £18 per hour + OVERTIME + BONUS + PLUS £1000 SIGNING ON BONUS

Working Week: 39 Hours basic week + overtime available @ time and a half!

Covering a rotating shift:

  • Week 1: 0800hrs to 1630hrs
  • Week 2: 0900hrs to 1730hrs
  • Week 3: 1300hrs to 2130hrs

You will have:

  • A Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
  • Previous experience working on HGV’s or have you completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry

What you will do:

  • Our Technicians are responsible for carrying out regular MOT service inspections on a wide range of manufacturers’ trucks.
  • Fault finding, carrying out repairs on engines, gearboxes, brakes, suspension systems etc.
  • Carry out repairs to a high standard according to Volvo procedures, safely and responsibly.
  • Assist in the fault diagnosis process.
  • Service Customer Vehicles and complete service sheets.
  • Road test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV license).
  • Assist with roadside breakdowns.
  • Process all relevant paperwork relating to jobs accurately.
  • Ensure all vehicle defects are reported.
  • Keep all workshop facilities, equipment, and tools clean, tidy and well maintained.
  • Help us in supporting the development of trainees and apprentices.
