About the Role
Reporting directly to the Collections Manager, you will work alongside two Senior Collections Officers and a Collections Officer. You will be supporting the day‑to‑day running of the Collections department, combining customer contact, account maintenance and account administration. You will also collaborate with a range of internal teams across the Group, including Credit, Customer Service and Finance.
What You Will Do
- Contact customers by telephone and email to discuss overdue balances and agree on suitable next steps.
- Assist with managing direct debit mandates, amendments and cancellations.
- Investigate payment issues, reconcile accounts and help resolve queries and disputes.
- Raise unresolved cases and collaborate with other departments to resolve issues.
- Assist with reporting, unallocated payments, and other routine operational tasks.
- Contribute ideas to process improvement and digital tools, including Power Platform solutions.
Qualifications
- GCSE grade 4, or equivalent, in Maths and English.
- Confident in both verbal and written communication.
- Comfortable having difficult conversations.
- Detail-focused and willing to investigate issues thoroughly.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and Excel with an interest in learning new systems.
- Experience in customer service is an advantage, but not necessary.
