What you’ll do: During your 12‑month placement, you will support subject‑matter experts within the Fleet Operations team as they make strategic decisions that will shape the future of Volvo Car UK. You’ll contribute significantly to the success and future of the brand by delivering fresh ideas and viewpoints and challenging current assumptions to meet the needs of future customers – an innovative mindset is essential. Reporting to the Business Operations Manager, you will be responsible for providing administrative, process management, and project support. This role is vital for the smooth running of the Fleet Operations team, and you will be involved with the coordination and implementation of processes and projects within Business Operations.

  • Attain a detailed understanding of Project Management by supporting the Business Operations Manager.
  • Support the Fleet Operations Team with ordering, tracking and managing deliveries across the business.
  • Understand in detail the Customer Journey through to order fulfilment, identifying key customer and Operational pain points for improvement.
  • Implement new Legal Agreements – Hire Agreements and Terms & Conditions.
  • Build relationships with key Central stakeholders, sharing suggestions for process improvements.
  • Manage the implementation of Operation Changes, including communications to UK stakeholders within the Fleet Operations, Inside Sales, and Customer Relations Centre Teams.
  • Gain a detailed understanding of the Commercial Operations, supporting with implementing offers as necessary.

You will be currently studying towards a sandwich degree in Business Management, Operations Management or a related subject, and you will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Eligibility: Our placement is open to any university student in their penultimate year of a sandwich course who will return to their final year of study after the placement with us, and who is based within a reasonable radius of our Maidenhead office to allow commuting when needed.
