What you’ll do It’s important to us that you find value and learning in the work you contribute to Competence & Development within Volvo Car UK. During the programme, you will provide support to all areas of our learning and development activities, primarily working in close collaboration with our Learning and Development Specialist, but also with our Trainers, and cross functionally with subject matter experts on projects, bringing new ideas and viewpoints and challenging current approaches to ensure our Retailer Partners are equipped to deliver an outstanding consumer experience. You will gain an insight into the latest approaches to learning and development, leading learning intervention request projects and identifying how success of each learning intervention can be measured from a business perspective to demonstrate return on investment.
Do you fit the profile? You will have a real interest in HR & Learning & Development, which encompasses problem-solving along with the curiosity to understand business challenges and support the delivery of innovative training solutions both internally and to our retail partners. The ideal candidate would have a people centric approach and would also have strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to champion new initiatives. The ideal candidate may have a qualification or interest in HR or L&D (CIPD, HR Degree, Coaching qualification etc). You will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, and possess excellent organisational and time management skills. You will have the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to work on your own initiative and as part of a small team is essential. You should be able to roll up your sleeves and get involved in challenging projects; taking ownership and successfully organising your time to work towards and achieve deadlines. Working within HR & L&D Team requires you to be able to handle sensitive and confidential information and you will need the ability to manage time pressures and conflicting demands.
