What you’ll do:

  • During your Ignition programme, you will provide support to subject matter experts within the Finance team as they make key strategic decisions that will shape the future of Volvo Car UK.
  • You’ll contribute significantly to the success and future of the brand by delivering fresh ideas and viewpoints and challenging current assumptions to meet the needs of future customers – so an innovative mindset is essential.
  • Assist the Procurement, Accounting and Finance leaders in creating reports, processing information and advising operational teams.
  • Support budget and business plan preparation.
  • Review and monitor departmental budgets.
  • Assist with financial reporting to the Executive Management Team.
  • Generate accurate and insightful data analysis to support business decisions.
  • Validate and process invoicing and credit notes.

What you’ll bring:

  • You will have a real passion for problem‑solving and the curiosity to understand business challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
  • You will also have strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to champion new initiatives.
  • Excellent mathematical skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as part of a small team.
  • Proficiency at Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI or SAP is an asset.
  • A desire to accomplish the ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualification in the future.
