What you'll do: Reporting to the Senior Data Analytics Manager UK, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and reliable data transformations that underpin business reporting and analytics. The role demands extensive cross functional collaboration within VCUK to define data and reporting requirements, transform and prepare data to agreed standards, to enable high quality analysis and insight to support business decision making. Responsibilities will include:
- Deliver accurate and reliable data transformations that support business performance reporting and analytics across VCUK.
- Design and implement robust data models, applying data normalisation principles to ensure accuracy, consistency, scalability and optimal performance across analytical and operational use cases.
- Support the development and maintenance of a consistent suite of reporting and analytical outputs, ensuring data is prepared to agreed standards and fit for purpose.
- Enable effective KPI monitoring by ensuring timely, accurate and trusted data to support performance tracking and course correction where required.
- Investigate, report on and resolve data quality issues, working to improve data accuracy, consistency and reliability.
- Support new and existing data processes and system integrations, ensuring continuity and robustness of data flows.
- Collaborate with Volvo head office on system changes and new initiatives impacting data, analytics and reporting.
What you'll bring: The successful candidate must have:
- Deep knowledge and experience of data manipulation and analysis using SQL, Snowflake, Power BI, Python, C#.
- Experience integrating data from APIs or external systems.
- Experience of dimensional modelling techniques (e.g. star schema), data normalisation and implementation into AAS, or other tabular semantic data models.
- Experience working with large-scale or complex datasets across multiple source systems.
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (e.g. Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Fabric or similar).
- Excellent communication skills that will ensure effective conveyance of complex information.
- Ability to work well independently and to contribute as part of a team, with a supportive attitude to colleagues.
- A background in CI/CD practices within data and analytics environments, knowledge of customer data regulations and local compliance requirements and knowledge of data governance principles, including metadata management and data lineage.
