As a Walk & Talk Volunteer, you will lead on setting up a new Walk & Talk or support an existing Walk & Talk group in your local area. In this role, you will play an essential role in creating a welcoming and inclusive community for all parents.
What’s involved?

- Advertising the Walk & Talk to ensure participation.
As a volunteer health cycle leader, you'll be helping people in your community to get active by leading groups on a cycle ride. As part of this role, you will be required to plan routes, support cyclists and enjoy cycling yourself. A health cycle leader's main responsibilities will include:
- Making sure everyone is safe and happy during a ride.
- Checking a route and familiarising yourself with it.
There is a cycling activity at Moors Valley for people with accessible needs. We need volunteers to help us manage the session and to help with basic maintenance of the bikes. The cycling will be on a closed traffic route at Moors Valley Country Park, Golf and Activity Centre.
If you are keen to help others use an accessible cycle or could help with the maintenance of the fleet, we would love to hear from you.
As a volunteer walk leader, you'll be helping people in your community to get active. As part of this role, you would be required to plan routes, support walkers and to love walking in all weathers. The roles and responsibilities of a walk leader include:
- Making sure everyone is safe and happy during a walk.
- Checking a route and familiarising yourself with it before leading.
We are looking for qualified Coaches, part qualified coaching Assistants and session helpers with or without experience. Volunteers will be DBS checked.
