Kitchen Assistant required to join our amazing team and work one Sunday a month 10.30-2.30pm. Our lunch clubs are held twice a month at the Horrill day centre in Dibden. Every month, two groups of older people meet at the Horrill centre for a home cooked 3 course meal. Our Clients enjoy a hot meal in a friendly social atmosphere where they can enjoy time with their friends or make new friends and catch up on community matters. All volunteers are offered a free 3 course meal.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of basic food hygiene preferred but training will be provided.

Person Specification:

  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • Liking and empathy for older people.
  • Reliability and trustworthiness.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • To provide assistance with domestic tasks including serving meals.
  • Using the dishwasher and washing up.
  • Carrying out cleaning duties and leaving the kitchen clean and orderly at the end of the day.
