Volunteer Now aims to create a team of ambassadors throughout our area who support and enhance our work.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Host information stands to promote volunteering opportunities to the general public or attendees at the event. The VN staff member will arrange, provide the materials and pop-up stand. This role will be undertaken in pairs (event dependent). At these events the volunteer will: talk to attendees about volunteering opportunities available throughout the area; talk about the role(s) they undertake, what they enjoy about it and how they got involved; share promotional materials; take a record of the number of people engaged with; set up and maintain the material on the table and take down once over.
- Support VN staff members as they undertake talks/workshops in the encouragement and promotion of volunteering. At these sessions volunteers will share their own volunteering story, support attendees to complete any activities, share promotional materials.
- Support tabletop (mobile) volunteering sessions with VN staff members. This role will include: supporting members to undertake the task; sharing your own volunteering journey with those attending; distributing promotional materials as needed.
