Volunteer Now has partnered with Be Collective to bring a dedicated online platform for volunteering to Northern Ireland. The platform supports volunteers through the volunteering process and helps connect more people with a wider range of opportunities.
The NI Lighthouse Hostel is a compassionate and committed organisation supporting homeless men, many of whom face complex challenges such as mental health issues and addiction. We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and well-connected individual to join us as a Volunteer Fundraising Champion.
About the Role:
This is a volunteer position ideal for someone with a strong background in fundraising and a heart for social impact. The right person will help drive forward our fundraising strategy and enhance our financial sustainability through diverse income streams.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience in a wide range of fundraising activities (events, grant applications, campaigns, etc.)
- Possesses existing relationships within the business sector and can open doors to corporate sponsorships under Social Corporate Responsibility (CSR) frameworks.
- Is knowledgeable in legacy giving and can guide potential donors and trustees on long-term charitable bequests.
- Understands charity law as it applies to fundraising, including compliance, transparency, and governance.
- Can advise on and help develop fundraising policies and procedures to ensure legal and ethical standards are upheld.
What You’ll Do:
- Champion our cause in your networks and the wider community.
- Develop and advise on strategic partnerships with businesses and sponsors.
- Assist in crafting a road map for long-term, sustainable fundraising both restricted and unrestricted.
- Provide guidance on legal and best practice aspects of fundraising activity.
