If you enjoy driving and like meeting people, this is the role for you. You’ll be delivering wheelchairs to people locally or further afield to help them get moving again after illness or injury.

The role will involve:
  • Loading the van at the start of the day at the Omagh office.
  • Travelling to the pop-up service location in Enniskillen to deliver the service.
  • Travelling back to the office in Omagh and unloading the van.
We would like volunteers who:
  • Can commit on a regular weekly basis.
  • Can volunteer to cover one shift each week on Friday, from 9am to 2pm.
  • Can commit to volunteering for a minimum of 12 months.
  • Have held a driving licence for at least 2 years which allows you to drive in the UK and be willing to drive a British Red Cross vehicle.
Tasks and responsibilities:
  • Deliver and collect wheelchairs using a Red Cross van.
  • Load / unload wheelchairs ready for daily runs.
  • Show people how to use equipment.
  • Use a computer-based stock control system.
