We are currently seeking up to 3 members to join the board of The Northern Ireland Boys\’ Brigade for a three-year period. Up to two of the successful candidates will not have experience (past or present) of Boy’s Brigade leadership. We are seeking applications from individuals who can demonstrate competence and experience in at least one of the following: * Current experience in the education sector * Experience in safeguarding practice * Human Resources **Tasks and responsibilities*** Oversee the activities of the organisation, its strategic direction and planning processes, programme delivery, financial controls and performance measures * Review and approve strategic plans, annual budgets, programme plans and performance objectives, and risk management strategies and plans, as developed by the Senior Management Team * Ensure that the organisational structure is appropriate for achieving the strategic goals, and that the necessary policies, procedures and controls are in place to ensure that authority may be delegated by the Board without loss of accountability * Approve and oversee the maintenance of sound corporate governance and the accountability of the Board Skills and experience gained Advice & Guidance Business Planning Communication Skills Corporate Governance Financial Planning Causes supported Community Education & Training #J-18808-Ljbffr
