What you'll receive
Your role on the day is just as important as our trekkers so to ensure you feel valued and supported we will:
- Be in regular contact with the Trek26 team in the weeks before the event.
- Have an on‑day contact who will greet and support you.
- Have travel expenses reimbursed.
- Receive snacks and drinks while you volunteer.
Rest Stop Volunteer Tasks
- Cheer trekkers into the rest stop.
- Chat with trekkers and check on their wellbeing.
- Make hot drinks and fill water bottles.
- Encourage trekkers to take snacks.
- Explain the next section of the route and offer encouragement.
Finish Line Volunteer Tasks
- Cheer trekkers across the finish line.
- Hand out well‑deserved medals and prosecco.
- Take photos of trekkers.
- Make hot drinks and fill water bottles.
- Support with selling merchandise.
Transport Requirements
All rest stop volunteers are asked to have a car. The event takes place in rural locations, so volunteers should have their own transport or be familiar with public transport.
Age and Consent
Volunteers aged 16‑17 must obtain parent or guardian consent before registering. Volunteers aged 14‑15 must be accompanied on event day by a parent or guardian and register on their behalf with consent. No volunteers under the age of 14 are accepted.
