Volunteer Now has partnered with Be Collective to bring a dedicated online platform for volunteering to Northern Ireland. The platform supports volunteers through the volunteering process and helps connect more people with a wider range of opportunities. Scheme Details

The scheme will run in Barcroft Community Centre from Mon 7th – Thurs 10th July, 10 am – 1 pm.

Role Overview

As a member of our SEN Summer Scheme team, you will play a vital role in delivering a safe, inclusive, and enriching experience for children and young people with additional needs.

  • Sports, Games & Gross Motor Activities
  • Baking & Gardening for hands-on learning
  • Science Experiments to inspire curiosity
  • Music, Dance & Imaginative Play
  • Yoga & Mindfulness sessions
  • Activities to support Fine Motor Skills
  • Social & Communication skill-building throughout

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Support the team in providing a variety of engaging activities for children with additional needs
  • Supervise and assist children with activities
  • Encourage social interaction, communication, and confidence-building
  • Work closely with staff and other volunteers to ensure smooth running of the scheme
  • Help maintain a fun, safe, and inclusive atmosphere
