The ambassador volunteers champion the charity and help us connect with individuals, communities, businesses or healthcare professionals. In this role you could make a positive difference either by sharing our campaigns and petitions online or by delivering in-person events and talks to inspire people to get involved with what we do. The hours are flexible depending on your availability and you can choose to focus on raising awareness with local communities, health providers or schools.
We will provide volunteer induction and role specific training, resources, a direct team contact, and we’ll refund all reasonable out-of-pocket expenses incurred while volunteering. Please note that if you decide to raise awareness in schools a DBS check will be required, and we can support you and cover any incurred costs for this.
Tasks and responsibilities:- Champion the charity by raising awareness through conversations with colleagues, friends, family, and social media, and by promoting planned initiatives and activities.
- Connect the charity with individuals, communities, businesses, healthcare professionals, and partners to support its mission.
- Provide feedback and stay in touch with your A+L UK contact.
- Offer insights to support the co-design of new activities and interventions, and contribute to local strategic priorities.
- Attend scheduled events and presentations to deliver talks and inspire involvement.
- Promote campaigns and petitions through your networks and on social media.
- Grow the A+L UK community by identifying and signposting potential volunteers, beneficiaries, or partners.
- Support fundraising by promoting ways to give, such as donations, legacy giving, fundraising events, challenge events, and community fundraising.
