Volunteer Now has partnered with Be Collective to bring a dedicated online platform for volunteering to Northern Ireland. The platform supports volunteers through the volunteering process and helps connect more people with a wider range of opportunities. Be Collective offers features such as messaging, creating a profile, and compiling all your experiences, training, and roles into a social CV.
This is an excellent opportunity for volunteers to get involved with a big, busy event at this long-standing traditional show. Your main role will be to meet and greet visitors, offer directions, and give information about the many attractions.
As a Showmaker, you should be:

Reliability is a must and you should also be reasonably physically fit as you will be on your feet most of the time.
HOURS: 5 hours on any one day from Wednesday 13th May until Saturday 16th May 2026. Options: a) 08:30 – 13:30 b) 13:00 – 18:00
WHERE: The Show will be held at the Eikon Centre, Balmoral Park, Halftown Road, Lisburn BT27 5RD.
OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES: Public transport fares will be reimbursed in full and car travel expenses can be reimbursed at a mileage rate of 40p per mile up to a maximum of £50 per volunteer per day. Food vouchers will be provided for meals while volunteering on site and free parking passes will be available for all volunteers.
