Volunteer Now has partnered with Be Collective to bring a dedicated online platform for volunteering to Northern Ireland. The platform supports volunteers through the volunteering process and helps connect more people with a wider range of opportunities. We have lots of roles available for adults of all abilities, from all backgrounds. No previous training, qualifications, or experience required.

– Group Volunteers – can you give 2 hours of your time weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly at one of our weekly groups?

– Ad-hoc volunteers – could you help us during extra activities, outings, events?

Group times:

Monday 10:30am-12:30pm

Tuesday 2:00pm-4:00pm

Thursday 2:00pm-4:00pm

Friday 10:30am-12:30pm

Tasks and responsibilities

  • To greet members – striving to make them feel welcomed and valued
  • To encourage members to participate in group activities.
  • To offer tea or coffee to members/visitors/facilitators and to distribute light refreshments.
  • To befriend members, be a listening ear and encourage conversation.
  • To participate in training relevant to your role at Downtown.
  • To alert the coordinator of any issues or concerns in a confidential manner.
  • Participate in fundraising activities to support our programs.
  • Help maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
