Horn of Africa People’s Aid NI (HAPANI) is proud to offer Essential Skills - ICT, English & Maths to our community. You will be working with adults and young people embarking on learning Essential Skills with a view to integrating into the local community. Undertaking Essential Skills is a vital tool for those who we work with.
We are based on Botanic Avenue, Belfast, so you must make your own way here on the day(s) for which you commit. There is no minimum or maximum commitment period, although we encourage you to apply for this role if you can be consistent and reliable. We will deliver classes on a regular basis, weekly from our premises.
This would suit a recent retiree or those wanting to build up experience as English ESOL Tutors. However, you must be qualified to tutor Essential Skills. Help will always be at hand, whether this be from Suleiman (founder and director), the volunteer coordinator or even your fellow volunteers.
This is an interesting role which will provide you with excellent experience working with a wide range of people from differing backgrounds, as well as offering you a unique opportunity to give back to your local community. Not only is it rewarding but it is also a lot of fun!
