Tasks and responsibilities

  • 1. Host information stands to promote volunteering opportunities to the general public or attendees at the event. The VN staff member will arrange, provide the materials and pop-up stand. This role will be undertaken in pairs (event dependent). At these events the volunteer will: o Talk to attendees about volunteering opportunities available throughout the area o The role/s they undertake, what they enjoy about it and how they got involved o Share promotional materials o Take a record of the number of people engaged with o Set up and maintain the material on the table and take down once over
  • 2. Support VN staff members as they undertake talks/workshops in the encouragement and promotion of volunteering. At these sessions volunteers will: o Share their own volunteering story o Support attendees to complete any activities o Share promotional materials
  • 3. Support tabletop (mobile) volunteering sessions with VN staff members. This role will include: - Supporting members to undertake the task - Share your own volunteering journey with those attending - Distributing promotional materials as needed
