This role involves operating a SumUp card machine for simple gift shop transactions, greeting and engaging visitors, and keeping track of visitor numbers. You’ll be an important part of creating a welcoming, helpful environment and ensuring visitors have a positive experience.

The role is a 2 hour shift.

It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys meeting new people, has good attention to detail, and wants to contribute to a friendly and community-focused space.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Welcome and engage visitors in a polite, approachable, and helpful manner
• Operate the SumUp card machine for simple gift shop sales (training provided)
• Record daily visitor numbers and help maintain basic data for reporting
• Assist in keeping the welcome area tidy and presentable
• Offer information about the centre, its services, and upcoming events
• Communicate with staff and other volunteers to ensure a smooth-running environment
