Bout Ye- - Visitor Engagement Volunteer

Volunteer Now has partnered with Be Collective to bring a dedicated online platform for volunteering to Northern Ireland. The platform supports volunteers through the volunteering process and helps connect more people with a wider range of opportunities. There are lots of great features to Be Collective like messaging, making a profile, and being able to compile all your experiences, training, and roles as well as the skills gained within a social CV. Through this project, we aim to open up a conversation with our visitors and our supporters about what the future of the Ulster Museum should look like.

We will have new interactive installations throughout our galleries; these installations will prompt visitors to think about what they would like to see in the Ulster Museum in the future.

Volunteers will work with our staff team to invite our visitors to engage with the various artwork and feedback on their experiences. This would be an exciting role for someone who loves museums and is interested in helping to shape their future.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Encouraging visitors to engage with interactive installations in the Ulster Museum
• Talking to visitors about their experiences and recording their responses
• Recording feedback and storing it safely
• Preparing activities, i.e., laying out and preparing materials
