At Thurrock’s LGBTQ+ Community Network, we extend a warm and open invitation to everyone identifying as LGBTQ+ and their supportive friends and allies. Our mission is clear: to transform Thurrock into a beacon of safety and acceptance for LGBTQ+ individuals within our community.
Our vibrant community network hosts a diverse range of events, regular meet-ups in the heart of Thurrock, and drop-in gatherings designed to provide support, advice, and valuable information. It’s not just an opportunity to socialize and network; it’s a chance to forge new connections with people from all walks of life, fostering lifelong friendships.
We are looking for additional volunteers to support us with our tasks, this could include:
- Setting up equipment for our sessions
- Spreading awareness of the Thurrock LGBTQ+ Network
- Supporting at our monthly sessions by being a friendly face
- Supporting with fundraising
What skills do I need?
We are open to welcoming volunteers who have skills that would support us in delivering and spreading the work of the LGBTQ+ Network across Thurrock.
