VIY is hiring skilled tradespeople on a freelance basis, offering up to £130 - £150 per day across various locations in Yorkshire & North East.
We are seeking an experienced Construction Mentor to guide, support, and coach individuals on our funded Youth and Community Construction Skills projects. You will need to be confident in teaching your skills. Your hands-on expertise and professional insight will be vital in helping some of the most vulnerable young people in our society to build confidence, technical skills, and real-world knowledge.
The Role:
- Help manage VIY community projects
- Mentor and train young people in trade skills
- Help young people work towards City & Guilds accreditation
- Oversee site health and safety supporting team and young people
Ideal Candidate:
- Hands-on multi-trade experience/qualifications, site management and health & safety experience
- Passion for mentoring young people with the ability to motivate and support individuals (experience preferred but not essential)
- Able to guide, support, and inspire the next generation of tradespeople
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Requirements:
