About the Role
To work as part of the Forward Leeds Young Persons Team to deliver drug and alcohol related interventions for young people (up to 21 years or 24 years depending on vulnerability) across Leeds. Work delivered will be outreach so based in schools, colleges, Youth Justice Centres and Community Venues.
What You’ll Do
- Case Management: Be the driving force behind the drug and alcohol treatment journeys of young adults. Conduct assessments, develop personalised care plans, and deliver interventions that truly make a difference.
- Community Promotion: Amplify our services within the community by building strong relationships with local organisations. Empower young adults and their families through engaging education and awareness sessions.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain the highest standards of care by implementing and adhering to service policies and procedures. Conduct thorough audits and keep meticulous records.
To Succeed in This Role, You’ll Need:
- Youth Work experience: Experience with young people who are care or care leavers or those who have lived independently.
- College or University Background: Experience in college or university environments is a significant advantage.
- Compassionate and Supportive: Possess exceptional interpersonal skills, with a non-judgmental and empathetic approach.
- Team Player: Thrive in a collaborative environment, actively engaging in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Self-Motivated and Resilient: Exhibit unwavering initiative, adaptability, and the ability to thrive under pressure.
