About the Role
As a Peer Support Recovery Worker, you’ll work alongside people experiencing complex mental health challenges, providing support through the sharing of your lived experience and recovery journey in a safe, appropriate and purposeful way. Working as part of both the Leeds Mind Peer Support Team and the Complex Psychosis Pathway, you’ll help people build confidence, develop coping strategies, set recovery goals and increase their independence. You will deliver specific elements of care and support under the guidance of Care Coordinators and Clinical Leads, while bringing the unique value that only peer support can offer. The role is based at Asket Croft, with work taking place across Leeds and West Yorkshire, alongside opportunities for some home-based working.

- Personal lived experience of mental health difficulties and an ability to use this experience appropriately to support others.
- Experience of working with people experiencing complex mental health needs.
- Understanding of recovery-focused approaches and recovery planning.
- Understanding of the value of peer support, both individually and in groups.
- Knowledge of person-centred approaches and how they support recovery.
- Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with a wide range of people.
- Ability and willingness to travel across Leeds and West Yorkshire.

Key Information
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Salary: £25,760 per annum
- Contract: Permanent

- Location: Asket Croft, Leeds, with travel across Leeds and West Yorkshire and some home working
