Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire

Salary: £30,168 FTE (15.68 ph)

Hours: 12 hours per week (flexible working considered)

Contract: FTC until 31st August 2028 (with the hope to make permanent, based on the success of the role)

About People Matters

People Matters is a values-driven learning disability organisation committed to making a meaningful difference in our community. We are now looking for a confident, proactive and relationship-driven fundraiser to help us grow sustainable income and build long-term partnerships.

Role Purpose

This is a hands-on fundraising role responsible for generating income through individual giving, corporate partnerships, and fundraising activities. You will play a key role in identifying opportunities, building relationships, and converting cold prospects into engaged supporters and long-term donors. This role requires a self-starter who is confident networking, can manage your own pipeline, and is motivated by delivering results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a practical, results-focused fundraising plan aligned to organisational priorities
  • Proactively identify, research and approach new income opportunities (corporate, trusts, and individuals)
  • Build upon and manage a pipeline, confidently converting cold contacts into warm relationships and committed supporters
  • Lead the development of corporate fundraising, including sponsorships, partnerships, and employee giving schemes
  • Actively network to secure new partnerships and build strong, lasting relationships
  • Prepare tailored proposals and pitches that clearly articulate value for partners
  • Manage and grow existing partnerships to maximise long-term income
