Alcohol and Substance Worker (Focussed Intervention Team)
Barca
All roles are permanent but are subject to funding.
What will the role look like?
As an alcohol and substance worker and member of the Focused Intervention Team, you will be at the forefront of the Forward Leeds drug and alcohol service. Your role will be to work with service users who identify as having problems with drugs (predominantly non-opiates) and alcohol, delivering appropriate interventions in a time-bound manner.
You will also be required to promote the service and communicate advice and information to the general public through attendance at city-wide events, presentations to various groups, one-to-one engagement, work within the night-time economy, and other public interactions.
What are we looking for?
We seek someone with experience working with people facing issues related to alcohol and drugs, and experience of effective interventions.
We prefer someone approachable, capable of engaging with members of the public in a one-to-one setting, and able to manage a caseload of clients.
