The Age Well East home visiting befriending service offers a Befriender to regularly visit a lonely and isolated client in their home for conversation & company. The volunteer will be matched with the same client to encourage a social connection. Age Well East provides full training and a nominated Friendship Coordinator to support them throughout their volunteering journey.
Volunteers must be happy to provide 2 x character references and have an enhanced DBS check (paid for and arranged by Age Well East). This is a flexible volunteer position; ideally, you would be able to commit to an hour a week/fortnight.
