Would you like to volunteer in our newly refurbished, state of the art kitchen? If you have a friendly temperament, general willingness to help and enjoy working in a team you will enjoy this role. You will work closely with the lead cook, kitchen and the dining room team to deliver a freshly prepared 2 course lunch to the older members of our community who attend the day centre.
You will be assisting the lead cook and the rest of the kitchen team in preparing and serving delicious & nutritious meals, then helping to wash and clear cups, glasses, plates, cutlery, cooking pots and utensils utilising large sinks and dishwashers.
You will be required from 10:00am until 2:00pm. We are open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We are currently looking for assistance on a Wednesday.
Training, serving aprons and any other items of PPE will be provided. Long hair needs to be tied back, and sensible shoes worn with front and back are mandatory. Sandwiches and drinks are provided.
Responsibilities- Assist the lead cook and kitchen team in preparing and serving meals;
- Help wash and clear cups, glasses, plates, cutlery, cooking pots and utensils;
- Assist with cleaning tasks as required.
- Friendly disposition.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
