To help maintain the grounds of the Rare Breeds Centre. Responsibilities to include:

  • Maintaining flower bed areas
  • Maintaining bug hotel and wildlife areas
  • Basic maintenance of hedges for wildlife and feeding to large livestock
  • Building and creating wildlife homes
  • Installing bird boxes and bug hotels
  • Using sit-on ride mower and strimmer around site
  • Provide good customer service to visitors as required

This role can be tailored to your skills, so it can be Gardening or Maintenance based or a combination of both.

Skills

  • Gardening &/or basic DIY skills
  • Awareness of Health & Safety
  • Ability to work in sympathy with the aims of The Salvation Army by showing respect, empathy, and treating people with dignity

  • 10am – 2pm
