We are seeking a fundraiser to help our new group cover costs.

Core responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement initiatives to increase donations from individuals, trust and corporate partners.
  • Research campaigns to help secure donations.
  • Raise awareness of our group.
  • Help writing grant proposals to meet aims of the group.
  • Contact companies for raffle donations.
  • Seek out subsidised access to activities and general raising awareness of the group.
  • Approach local businesses for support and funds.
  • Event planning: plan and execute fundraising activities.

Skills:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Creativity.
  • Administrative proficiency for tracking donor databases.

Administration:

  • Maintain accurate records in database to report on fundraising performance to committee.

Marketing & communications:

  • Raise awareness of the group's mission through online content and social and local media relations.

DBS check required; no regulated activities - supervised. Health and Safety Policy. Ongoing support. Training provided. Dementia friendly training. Volunteers covered by insurance.

Start Date: 14/02/2026
End Date: 14/03/2027

Availability Details:

The group runs 2.30-4.30pm on Thursday; however, fundraising opportunities could be anytime.

Location:

Stroke & Wellness Centre, 85 Frinton Road, Holland on Sea, Clacton, Essex, CO15 5UD.
